A Sweet Treat

One of my favorite shows that I record daily is The Chew. Obviously I watch this one without John since it’s a talk show dedicated to food. A few months back they made a dessert that I knew I had to try. Light, airy, savory & sweet. A perfect combination!

Chocolate Hazelnut Espresso Mousse
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • ¼ tsp. instant espresso
  • ½ c. Nutella
  • ¼ c. toasted hazelnuts
  • 1 c. whipped cream
  • Sliced bananas
  1. Combine the heavy cream and espresso in a small mixing bowl. Stir until dissolved, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the espresso mixture to the standing mixer, along with Nutella. Mix with the whisk attachment on medium for 1 minute.
  3. Continue beating until it looks fluffy (soft peaks), about 1 minute.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  5. Garnish with with the toasted hazelnuts, whipped cream, and bananas.
