Caramelized Onion, Bacon and Gruyere Quiche

Caramelized Onion, Bacon and Gruyere Quiche – just the name makes me want to do a little dance thinking about it. After months of all kinds of sick bugs going around our house I think it’s all downhill from here. Knock on wood. Saying a prayer of course. But with the kids out of school for 3 weeks it is getting a little crazy with me trying to work from home. Blog posts have been pushed to Friday (sometimes Saturday) because my Continue Reading…

Egg Salad

Would you believe I made Egg Salad for the first time in my life just a few months ago? I love a good salad! But for some reason I have always been extremely picky about my egg salads, potato salads, and pasta salads. That’s why you find any of those on my site…until now. Who knew the girl would not touch food much less eat any food that had come close to anything with pickles. And yes before any of you Continue Reading…

Shrimp Pad Thai

I am ready to have one of those lazy kind of days. What about you? You know the kind where you have no responsibility to wake up to (job, kids, etc). Oh ya I think that’s called a vacation. Well I had one of those in October so I doubt I’ll get another one anytime soon. Especially since November through February are my busy times of year with my job (HR – benefits, healthcare, payroll). And then let’s add in Continue Reading…

Overnight Breakfast Casserole

This Overnight Breakfast Casserole is a classic make ahead dish is filled with sausage, eggs, and cheese. So I know people plan for their New Year’s Eve parties with fun appetizers & cocktails and others plan for New Year’s dinner with black eyed peas and greens. But what about New Year’s Day breakfast? I know that’s the last thing on a lot of people’s minds when they are more worried about the night before. But remember breakfast is the most important meal Continue Reading…

Baked Eggs with Cheese and Bacon

Why not start off your morning with a little protein and a little indulgence from these Baked Eggs with Cheese and Bacon?! I missed yall last week. We were traveling down south for the week (ie 25 hours in the car with a baby) some might say that’s a little crazy! And we are doing it again this month. Luckily he did great and I had some amazing help thanks to my mama. John Grayson finally got to meet some Continue Reading…

Good Morning Breakfast Burger

John loves to cook a burger and I definitely don’t mind because it not only allows us to get creative, but also cook together. The other night we had all the stuff to make a generic burger, but you know in our family that just doesn’t fly. So we came up with the idea of recreating the Good Morning Punch Burger we had last month with bacon, a fried egg, and cream cheese. Pictures updated September 2015

Deviled Eggs

I feel like Deviled Eggs are the quintessential dish you have at the holidays. Easter, Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas….And let’s not forget it’s perfect for those BBQ’s. We can always count on celebrating John’s birthday around Memorial Day. This past weekend we not only got to go home but go up to John’s family farm. John went fishing and I got a tan, played fetch with the dogs, and relaxed. So whether it’s with friends or family fire up your grill or Continue Reading…
