Need a Green Goddess Juice recipe to detox from all that beer drinking you did this weekend or yesterday for St. Patrick’s day?
Well I obviously didn’t do any drinking to technically “detox” from this weekend other than enjoy this juice after my workout. And I decided spring is already playing tricks on me. On Saturday I sat outside read my kindle, enjoyed this green goddess juice and watched John fix up my garden stand.
Then I think spring went away on Sunday because it got down to 30 degrees again – I boycotted and went on half a mile walk (not too smart, I know).
What about Irish food this weekend? Did you enjoy any? John and I intended to go downtown for one the celebrations but we got a little lazy and caught up in a Scandal and Dallas marathon. Hey don’t judge I know you have TV marathons! Right?
I normally like to cook the typical things like Shepherd’s Pie around this time but in between our TV episodes I focused on recipe testing things like my Grateful Cowboy Pizza, Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, and a Milky Way Cookie Cake. Oh well no Irish food or drinks for us but who needs it when you have a healthy juice?!
Green Goddess Juice
- 2 1/2 cups kale roughly chopped
- 2 cups spinach leaves
- 2 golden delicious apple cored and cut into bite size pieces
- 1 cucumber cut into bite size pieces
- 1/2 lime remove peel
- Throw all fruit and vegetables into a juicer. Process everything.
- Pour into a glass and garnish with a slice of lime.
